Why does my back hurt after sitting for long periods?
A. It is probably due to two reasons: Either you are sitting in the wrong chair or you are sitting incorrectly and without proper back support.
An ergonomic chair would provide excellent support and comfort> Alternatively we do a range of
cushions and Seat Wedges which are excellent in providing temporary relief.
Q. Do you have back supports that are adjustable?
A. Yes we do. Three in all. The FloBac, Back Huggar and Koala Komfort are adjustable.
The FloBac and Koala are infinitely adjustable, while the Back Huggar has an internal sleeve which you can delete to slim
the product.
Q. Do you have lower back supports as well as full back supports?
A. Yes, we make full back supports which embrace the spine to the shoulder blades.
These are the Flobac, Contoured Full Back Support, and the Total Spinal Support. The lower back supports are the Back Huggar,
BackForm, and the Koala Komfort, and of course we also make a range of Spine Saver lumbar rolls in D shape, Oval shape, Round,
and Egg Shape in both Memory foam and conventional foam.
Q. How do I know that I have purchased the right back support for me?
A. There is always an element of flexibility but if you study the information on each of the back
supports that we make then you should be able to find the perfect fit for your your needs. Be mindful that the FloBac and
Back Huggar and Koala Komfort are
adjustable, and this may sway your purchase because you can customise to your needs.
Q. How long does the Back Huggar typically stay in shape before it needs to be replaced?
A. The memoryfoam version in Back Huggar is softer than the traditional foam version, but this doesn't mean it won't last as long.
We have yet to have any issues relating to longevity with the memoryfoam version (which we have been making now since 2003), but of course the more the back support is used (body pressure applied against it) the less the useful life span for the product, but this should not really be an issue in the next year or two.
If you were sitting on it with the full force of the body's download, then you would have an issue ... but you're not.
Q. Do you make a magnetic back support?
A. Yes, we have a lower back support called Magnetic Back Support, and we also make a round
lumbar roll with magnets inside it. More information on magnetic therapy.
Q. Are your back supports comfortable, and do they encourage better posture?
A. Yes, they have all been designed around accepted good-posture criteria. They are designed to
promote better posture, in comfort, and can be used on most seating, include a sofa. They are designed to support you where
it is needed most, whether it be the lumbar curve, the upper back, or both.
Q. How do I clean or wash my back support?
A. It’s easy. There are Care Instructions that come with all of our back supports.
