- Keep Active: Make it a daily challenge to find ways to move.

- Follow the Australian Alcohol Consumption Guidelines because Drinking in excess of recommended low-risk levels can cause other health problems such as cancer, cirrhosis of the liver, brain damage, memory loss and sexual dysfunction.

- There's a definitive connection between being healthy and happy and having a cheerful outlook on life. Try the 'glass is half full' rather than the 'glass is half empty' approach.

- Avoid difficult people when possible
- Think positively
- Spend 30 minutes a day doing something calming that you like. Such as soak in a bath, take a yoga class or meditate
- Count to ten before taking action
