At Therapeutic Pillow International we do not recommend that your child uses a pillow until they are at least three, and if prior to that then the pillow should be quite thin and not too soft in that it does not inhibit breathing
should the child roll onto his/her tummy.
Absolutely definitely no pillow prior to the age of two*.
* SIDS is an issue for infants, and although no definitive answers are out there, it is accepted among health therapists that your infant child should be sleeping on his/her back, on a reasonably firm mattress, and that the bedding should be too tight, or too heavy, and no pillow.
